David Greene’s experience with metal evolved from his experiences at The School of the Art Institute where he received his BFA in 1995. Focusing initially on foundry and the casting process, his introduction to  blacksmithing opened new and ever increasing levels of inspiration. With an expansive knowledge of craft and technique, David’s formation of Iron & Wire Studio in 1998 finally brought his design abilities to the Chicago design community.

Now with a focus on architectural and ornamental ironwork, Iron & Wire LLC serves architects, designers and private individuals with their consultation and fabrication needs. Our work utilizes a range of materials and finishes not to mention fabrication techniques.
